Our Mission

Shepherd’s Voice Magazine began in the Summer of 2010 by members of the Chicagoland Church of God with the intent of serving the Sabbath Keeping/Holy Day observing community of believers as a quarterly magazine.  In 2011 Servants’ News, another independent publication in print since 1995, merged with SVM effectively growing the magazine distribution substantially.

Since then the work of SVM has grown to reach many believers and now works with various independent ministries in the United States, Canada and the Philippines.  As independent non-denominational publication, we are able to avoid some of the pitfalls that come from producing articles that are influenced by the goal of maintaining a Church organization, a following, or a subscription list.  We also have no need to concerning ourselves regarding our financial security as we are comprised of an all volunteer staff. This is a freedom we appreciate, and as a result we are not handcuffed concerning ourselves with popularity and perception – as we would be if any of the above circumstances were different.   Readers will see this evident in the content of the magazine pages.

We pray that  SVM readers will hear our Savior’s word through these pages and that it will minister to as many as it reaches.
